Slow Cooked Italian Beef (for sandwiches)
3 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Bay leaf
1 (.7oz) package dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 (5Lb) rump roast
Combine everything but roast in sauce pan. Stir well, bringing to a boil. Put roast in crock pot. Pour mixture over meat. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours. (Or on high 4-5 hours). When done, remove Bay leaf. Shred meat with forks. Serve on buns or hoagy rolls.
**I also added some sliced hot peppers.
